Hong Kong Watch and European Democratic Party co-organise “Black Bauhinia” Screening and Panel Discussion

On 22 March 2022, Hong Kong Watch co-organised a well-attended film screening of the pro-democracy documentary “Black Bauhinia” alongside the European Democratic Party and Engin Eroglu MEP in Brussels, Belgium, as well as a discussion panel on censorship and human rights in the city with pro-democracy activists in exile Ray Wong, Finn Lau, and Glacier Kwong.

“Black Bauhinia”, directed by Dr. Malte Kaeding, is the first feature-length documentary film on Hong Kong localism and the independence movement, which fundamentally transformed Hong Kong’s domestic and international relations.
